Darleen Breland
March 17, 1941 - June 29, 2023
On Thursday, June 29, 2023, Mrs. Darleen Breland passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Breland was a life-long resident of Bogalusa where she served her community at the Bogalusa City School System for over 35 years. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law: Bobbie and David Powe; three grandchildren: Alex Breland, Brian Taylor, and Glenn Breland; six grandchildren: Aubree Breland, Colby Taylor, Cheyenne Taylor, Tatum Taylor, Arianna Breland, and Nyas Ray Breland; and one brother: Jimmy Tetterington.
Mrs. Breland was preceded in death by her loving, devoted husband of almost 65 years: Mr. Alton “Ray” Breland; her parents: James and Rachael Tetterington; one son: Allen Breland; a daughter: Jane Breland; and two sisters: Sharon Thomas and Ruth Tetterington.
Services will be at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home in Bogalusa, Louisiana on July 2, 2023. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the Service at 4:00 PM. Interment will be at Hillview Memorial Gardens.
