Otis Archie Wallace
January 24, 1942 - June 27, 2023
Otis Archie Wallace, age 81 and a resident of Franklinton, died Tuesday afternoon June 27, 2023 at his home. He worked as a bulldozer and heavy equipment operator at T.L. James Construction for many years. Otis loved to plant a nice garden in the spring and fall each year. It gave him great joy to then share all his vegetables with his family, neighbors and friends. He enjoyed squirrel and deer hunting and working on his tractor. Otis also enjoyed watching old Western TV shows and fishing on the Tchefuncte River. He always saw the good in people and he was willing to help others with anything they needed.
Survived by: Daughter and Son in law: Laura and Leonard DeVun; Brother: James Wallace; Sister: Willie Mae Wallace; Also numerous nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his wife Diane Holcombe Wallace, infant son Otis Lee Wallace, infant daughter Linda Marie Wallace, parents Archie Wallace and May Bell Wallace, brothers Hollis Wallace, Douglas Wallace, sister Louise Wallace.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Saturday July 8th from 9:00 am until 11:00 am with a memorial service in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am.
