Obituary

Bobbie Brumfield Miller

January 16, 1948 - June 26, 2023

Bobbie Brumfield Miller, age 75 and of Denham Springs, LA, entered her heavenly home after a long battle with pancreatic cancer on Monday, June 26, 2023. She was born January 16, 1948, to Athan and Freddie Mae Brumfield of Franklinton, LA.

Bobbie was truly a great woman whose impact will forever be felt by her family, who loves her dearly. She was a selfless woman, whose passing left an unfillable gap in the hearts of her loved ones. Her ability to sacrifice, provide, support, forgive, and love will be forever ingrained in everyone she touched.

Bobbie was born and raised in Franklinton and graduated from Franklinton High School in 1966. Soon after meeting the love of her life, Larry Miller, they were married on February 12, 1970, in Tylertown, MS.

Bobbie leaves behind a husband of 53 years, Larry Miller, children Kristi Braud (Kevin) of Gonzales, Angie Jones (Chad) of Baton Rouge and Chad Miller (Jess) of Omaha, NE, siblings, Sue Griggs of Greenwell Springs, Jeanette Cooper (Will) of Pineville, Delores Jenkins of Franklinton, and Murdock Brumfield (Kira) of Franklinton. She had a special place in her heart for each of her 10 cherished grandchildren: Matthew (Emily), Michael (Raegan), Tyler, Dalton, Isabella, Keiser, Makalah, Logan, Alex, and Audry, and of course her dog CoCo.

Bobbie is preceded in death by her parents Athan and Freddie Mae, her siblings Durwood and Tommie Lou, and in-laws A.D and Mildred Miller.

We would like to give special thanks to Dr. Cataldo and his team from Our Lady of the Lake for their knowledge and compassion. The Audubon Hospice team, particularly Sommer Ebarb, RN, was instrumental in Bobbie’s quality and comfort in the last days with her family.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at Crain Funeral Home from 9:30 to 12:00, the service will immediately follow with Bro. Frederick Brumfield and Bro. Joey Miller officiating. Interment will be in the Brumfield Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org).

Bobbie’s grandsons will be honored to be her pallbearers.
