Dywan Everette Jacobs
August 30, 1978 - June 9, 2023
Dywan Everette Jacobs departed this earthly life to join God’s Heavenly Host of Angels on Friday June 9, 2023, he was born to the late Shirley Ann Jacobs and the late Billy Dewayne Mingo on August 30, 1978, in Bogalusa, Louisiana.
Dywan was a lifelong resident of Bogalusa, La. He was a member of the Bogalusa High School class of 1996. While at Bogalusa High School, Dywan was a member of Bogalusa High School baseball and football teams. He made a lot of friends. He received many awards in baseball, the Golden Glove award, and many, many trophies in his childhood. He worked at Gaylord and Coca Cola industries. In 2003 he became a full-time babysitter of his one and only nephew.
Dywan’s memories and heart’ strings are tied to many as he moves on, his sister Dione Jacobs Peters (Derrick), Bogalusa, La. one Aunt Bertha Haris, of Bogalusa, La. Two uncles: Luther Whittine of Bogalusa, La., and Elmer (Maria) Jacobs of Franklinton, La., One nephew Everette Peters of Bogalusa, La., and two nieces Shannisha (Darien) Young and MaKaya Peters of Bogalusa, La. Another special family member: Darris Whittine a cousin raised a brother, and NaTasha Smoot a sister.
Dywan joins in Heaven, his parents Shirley Ann Jacobs, and Billy Wayne Mingo, 4 uncles Willie (Po’boy) Whittine Jr., Maxie Whittine, Floyd Jacobs, and Johnny Whittine.
“It broke our hearts to lose you, only God knows why. You will always be in our hearts as days go by.”
Drive through viewing will be Friday, June 16, 2023, from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Crain and Sons Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Saturday June 17, 2023, at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Bogalusa, La. at 1:00 pm, Rev. Christopher Matthews Pastor officiating.
Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Bogalusa, La. is in charge of arrangements.
