Tropical Disturbances Today

There are no tropical cyclones in the Atlantic at this time. The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1st through November 30th.

Eastern Gulf of Mexico: An area low pressure is forecast to meander over the eastern Gulf of Mexico and then to move across the Florida Peninsula this weekend and emerge into the southwestern Atlantic Ocean by early next week. The system could produce heavy rainfall and gusty winds over portions of the Florida Peninsula later this week. Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent and formation chance through 7 days...low...20 percent.
