June "Sherye" Kennedy Johnson

June “Sherye” Kennedy Johnson was born on November 25, 1946, in New Orleans, Louisiana. She passed away on May 22, 2023, at the age of 76. Sherye was a woman driven by passion. A passion for art, interior design, and most importantly, love. She studied art at Louisiana State University, and she shared her love of art with everyone. She painted everything from canvases to dressers, and she inspired everyone around her. Sherye dedicated her life to loving her family and friends. She carried herself with a great sense of humility, and always put others first.
She is survived by her two children: Zachary Davis and Judd Davis; her four grandchildren: Clea Davis, Ian Davis, Sara Davis, and Zoey Davis; and one brother: Hastel "Jeff" Kennedy.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Hastel Joseph Kennedy and Virgie Willetta Sheridan Kennedy.
Brown-McGehee Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements. A visitation will be held for her in the funeral home chapel from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 29, 2023, with a private interment to follow.
