Relita Breland

March 8, 1937 - May 9, 2023

On May 9, 2023, Mrs. Relita Breland, age 86, passed away at her home in Bogalusa, LA. Mrs. Breland was a long-time resident of Washington Parish and attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She worked for a local favorite, Zesto’s, here in Bogalusa for 25 years before retiring. When she wasn’t cooking, you could always find her outside in the dirt tending to her plants. Above all hobbies and interest, playing with her great-grandbabies was her favorite.

Mrs. Breland is survived by two daughters: Tonia Bates (Ricky) and Belinda Miller (Richard); three grandchildren: Monica Crain (Chad), Matthew Irvine, and Relita Miller; two great-grandchildren: Austin Crain and Kayzlen Vaughn; one brother: Norwood Savoie (Linda); two sister-in-laws: Jackie Savoie and Viola Sullins; and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 32 years: Mr. Percy Breland; two sons: Mitchell Adam Breland and Woodrow Daniel Breland; her parents: Adam and Bernadette Savoie; two brothers: Tommy Savoie and Ackel Savoie; and two sisters: Katrina LeComte and Authurine Harrell.

Brown-McGehee Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements. On Thursday, May 18, 2023, a memorial visitation will be held in the funeral home chapel from 1PM until 3PM.
