The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office has made two arrests for Terrorizing in the last two days
Monday, April 10, 2023 Landon Woodside, age 19 and of Slidell, was arrested Monday (April 10, 2023) after investigators with the STPSO were made aware of a video that was posted on social media of a local man holding an AR-style rifle with the words “next school shooter in the making.” Woodside was identified in the video and taken into custody. Woodside reportedly admitted to making the video but told investigators he was “just joking.”
Tuesday, April 11, 2023 STPSO deputies were made aware of threatening messages sent via social media by a student of a Slidell-area junior high school. The juvenile sent messages threatening bodily harm towards a staff member at the school to another student using his personal social media account. Deputies identified the sender of the messages as a 14-year-old Slidell-area juvenile, who was taken into custody and booked into the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center.
“Once again we want to make it very clear that law enforcement and the school system will take threats like this very seriously,” Sheriff Randy Smith said. “We will continue to work with our schools and investigate any and all threats at our schools or to the students and faculty who attend them.”
