Slidell's K-9 Max Gets His First Apprehension

This past Saturday (April 15, 2023 at around 10:00 PM, Slidell Police officers spotted a stolen 2022 attempted a traffic stop, but the driver fled at a high rate of speed. Officers pursued and the driver lost contract near the 2700 block of Terrance Avenue. 

Three male subjects jumped out of the vehicle and fled on foot. K-9 Max was released, tracked the suspects, and apprehended 18-year-old, Kendell Jackson of Slidell. After observing K-9 Max apprehend Kendell, a second suspect, identified as 18-year-old Daylon Jackson of Slidell, stopped running and peacefully surrendered. Officers did not locate the third suspect, but were able to positively identify him. Warrants are currently being issued for that suspect, who is a juvenile.

Kendall Jackson was treated for his dog bites at a local hospital and, upon release, both he and Daylon Jackson were booked into the Slidell City Jail. 



Kendall Jackson was charged with Resisting an Officer, Illegal Possession of Stolen Property, Unauthorized Entry of a Critical Infrastructure, and Aggravated Flight from an Officer. Bond was set at $10,000.00.

Daylon Jackson was charged with Possession of Stolen Property, Unauthorized Entry of a Critical Infrastructure, and Resisting an Officer. Bond was set at $10,000.00.
