Annie Glenn Barber

January 6, 1931 - April 1, 2023

Ms. Annie Glenn Barber passed away in Bogalusa, Louisiana at the age of 92 on April 1, 2023. 

Ms. Annie is survived by her daughter, Janice Lynn Myers (Charles Myers), who currently lives in Longview, Texas and her son James Wesley Barber (Ana Maria Cujar-Barber) who lives in Sterling, Virginia. She had three grandchildren, Jerald, Lisa and Chad and two great-grandchildren John and Annie. Ms. 

Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Jim A. Barber, who passed away in 2006 at the age of 77.

 Ms. Annie was born in Tylertown, Mississippi, and later traveled to Bogalusa, Louisiana to pursue her dreams and start her own family. Besides being a devoted wife and mother, she was very skilled at sewing, cooking, baking, canning and caring for others. She was known for having a green thumb and grew flowers and vegetables. She would strike up a conversation with almost anyone and was very admired for her red hair and perfect skin until her last day on this earth. She was happy with very little and always made the best of any situation. She was a long-time faithful member of Main Street Baptist Church. 

Her family and friends will hold a celebration of her life ceremony, at a later time.
