Sister Yvonne Walker Bickham

Sister Yvonne Walker Bickham, a native of Arcola, La and at eighty-six years, three hundred sixty-three days, peacefully departed this life on April 5, 2023 at North Oaks Medical Center surrounded by loving family.
At an early age, she attended Mt. Gillion Baptist Church of Arcola, Louisiana where she accepted Christ.
She married John Bickham, Sr. on September 22, 1952 and they were blessed with twelve children.
After becoming a resident of Kentwood, she joined Oak Grove A.M.E. Church where she was an active member and served faithfully on the Senior Usher Board reigning as QUEEN of the Annual Rainbow Usher Tea for the last two decades.
She is survived by her 10 children, 48 grandchildren, 104 great grandchildren, and 34 great, great grandchildren, two daughter-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Oak Grove AME Church in Kentwood, La from 9:00AM - 11:00AM followed by the funeral service for 11:00AM with Rev. Shelton Myers - Pastor, Rev. Kerry James - Officiating. Interment - Oak Grove Church Cemetery.
Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton are in charge of arrangements.
