Randy "Bear" Sanford

October 26, 1951 - April 2, 2023

Randy “Bear” Sanford, age 71 and of Tylertown, Mississippi, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2023. He was born Friday, October 26, 1951 in Tylertown, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Capps Funeral Home in 270 Old Hwy 98 E, Tylertown, Mississippi. Visitation will also be on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 from 10:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM at Capps Funeral Home with Bro. Brandon Wilkins and Bro. Calvin Crowe officiating. Burial will follow in Wood Cemetery in Tylertown, Mississippi. Hartman Hughes Capps Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Bear was a longtime truck driver who had traveled all over the Continental United States and Canada many times. He was a man that never met a stranger; was always joking and conversing with the people he came in contact with. He was a great husband, father, and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed woodworking and doing some mechanic work. He will be missed by those who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father Nevil Vernon Sanford; mother Harriet Odalie Haley Sanford; and grandmother Ellen Adeline Brumfield Haley.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years Kim Sanford; sons Caleb Sanford and Joshua Sanford;  grandchildren Rielley Vernon  Sanford and Malaijah Oriana Sanford;  brother Mickey  Wayne Sanford (Rose Alma);  sister Janice Arlene  Sanford Burch (George); father-in-law Rielley  (Elsie) Euper; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.
