Armond Ray Lea
September 26, 1926 - March 24, 2023
Armond Ray Lea, age 96, a resident of Camellia Estates, and a lifelong resident of Osyka, passed away March 24, 2023 at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.
Services will be announced at a later date. Hartman Jones Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
Armond was born on September 26, 1926 in Tangipahoa Parish in the Line Creek community. He was born to Joe Rayborn Lea and Azzie Lee Bryan Lea. He was a member of Terry’s Creek Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was a mason, Rising Glory Lodge in Osyka. He loved to fish and tend to his Honey Bees. He enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren. He spent many hours attending the softball games of his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his spouse of 49 years Avis Wilson Lea, a brother Udell Lea, a brother-in-law Marcus Lee McDaniel and a nephew Mark A. McDaniel.
He is survived by his sons Gerald Lea (Debbie) of Magnolia, Dennis Lea (Ricki) of Osyka, Jimmy Lea (Theresa) of Osyka, a sister Joan McDaniel of Osyka, grandchildren Michelle Nunnery (Jeff), Chris Lea (Abbi), Amy Motta (Chris), Corey Lea (Kristin), Derek Lea (Ashley), Jeremey Lea, Kellye Sistrunk (Keith), Brandi Sanders (Nathan), great grandchildren Charley Nunnery, Rosi Jane Lea, Ava Belle Motta, Preston Lea, Anna-Marie Lea, Kelsie Lea, Jessa Lea, Micah Lea, Chloe’ Sistrunk, Karrington Ritter, Tucker Sanders, great great grandchildren Walker James Sistrunk and Haven Grace Sistrunk, along with other relatives and friends.
