Linda Olivier Boos

October 12, 1942 - March 19, 2023

Linda Olivier Boos, age 80 and a resident of Franklinton, passed away early Sunday morning March 19, 2023 at her home. She was born in New Orleans on October 12, 1942 and was a former longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish before moving to Franklinton in 2005 following the destruction of Hurricane Katrina. Linda was retired after a long career as a purchasing agent with Valco. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Franklinton and active in the Altar Rosary Society and Friends of St. Francis groups. She was previously greatly involved with fundraising at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in St. Bernard Parish, organizing the Mardi Gras Ball each year. Linda was an excellent cook, especially her delicious gumbo, and loved to spend time with her family and friends.

Survived by: Husband of 61 years: Gerald F. Boos; Children and Spouses: Terri Boos, Gerald, Jr. and Angie Boos, Sherri and James Hogan; Grandchildren and Spouses: Nicholas Duplessis, Jason and Gabby McCutcheon, Abby and James Hudgins, Jeremy McCutcheon, Zoe Boos, Kevin and Ally Hogan, Meghan Hogan, Daniel Hogan; Brothers and Sisters in law: Danny and Elaine Olivier, Bruce and Maryann Olivier; Sister in law: Ruby Olivier; Lifelong Friends: Tina, Sharon, Armand, Kay, Mavis

Also numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Nelson Olivier and Sable Dupont Olivier, brother Nelson Olivier, Jr., father in law and mother in law Henry and Georgiana Boos.

Visitation will be at Saint Joseph Abbey near Covington (75376 River Road, St. Benedict, LA) on Monday March 27th from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held in the church at 2:00 pm Monday with Father Peter Hammett officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations to Friends of St. Francis, c/o Holy Family Catholic Church, 1220 14th Ave., Franklinton, LA 70438.
