Richard Jackson "R.J." Frazier

Richard Jackson "R.J." Frazier, age 89 and a resident of Franklinton died Thursday night March 30, 2023 at Riverside Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was a former longtime resident of Mount Hermon that worked as a Dairyman for many years. R.J. also worked as a security guard at different locations through the years. He loved mowing grass, being outside and his chewing tobacco. R.J. always enjoyed listening to his favorite gospel music.
Survived by: Daughter: Debbie Frazier of Franklinton; 4 Sisters and Brothers in law: Zula Hobgood of Ethel, Murline Welch of Kentwood, Joyce and A.C. Strahan of Tickfaw, Deloris and Joe Schroeder of Livingston; Step-children and Spouses: Ruth Horning, Jo and Murry Joe Duncan, Leroy and Emelda McElveen, Ann and Mike Henley; Special Friends and Caregivers: Natalie Magee, Juanita Luper; Also numerous step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his son Sidney Ray Frazier, wife Iona Mae Hunt McElveen Frazier, parents Percy Jackson Frazier and Gladys Young Frazier, a brother Jimmy Lindsey, brothers in law Arson E. Hobgood, James H. Welch, step-daughters and spouses Dot and Ronald Schilling, Opal and Charles Williams, step-son Dale McElveen, step-daughter Faye Morgan, step-sons in law Stanley Horning, Ronnie Baker.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Monday April 3rd from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 12:00 pm Monday with Bro. Joe Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
