Jewel Lee Lucas Hill

October 10, 1942 - March 18, 2023

Almighty God in his infinite wisdom dispatched his angel to the bedside of his child at St. Tammany hospital where she was surrounded by her loved ones on the morning of March 18, 2023.

Jewel Lee Moses Hill was the daughter of the late Josephine Moses. She was the loving wife of Roy Lee Hill. Jewel was the pillar of the family. She enjoyed being surrounded by them as they were her pride and joy. She loved celebrating each and every birthday that God gave her, and made sure as many of them as possible would be there for the holidays as well. She enjoyed fishing, crabbing, and barbequing for the family in her yard.

Jewel leaves to mourn her passing her husband of 57 years, Roy Lee Hill; three daughters, Brenda (Ray), Lisa (Rickey May), and Shelia; three sons, Charles (Mary Lucas) Curtis of Wiggins, MS, Anthony and Roy Lucas both of Baton Rouge, LA; one brother-in-law Charles (Joan) Hill; 33 grandchildren; 77 great grandchildren; a special cousin, Martha Fairley; Thomas Pam who was like a child; a host of other relatives and friends.

Jewel was preceded in death by her mother, Josephine Moses; a brother, Bill Moses; a daughter, Angela Lucas; grandson, Dagrick Moses, and a great grandson, Nizval Whittine.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Kingdom of God Church from 11:00AM - 2:00PM followed by the funeral service for 2:00PM with Pastor Kendon Grant - Pastor Officiating. Interment -Bogalusa Cemetery.
