Ralph Mitchell Creel

Ralph Mitchell Creel, age 72 and of Woodbury, GA, died Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Upson Regional Medical Center in Thomaston, Ga.

Mr. Creel was born September 13, 1950 in Tylertown, MS, the son of Milford and Edith Jenkins Creel. He was a retired truck driver and had served as a peace officer for Abilene Police Department in Texas and a Highway Patrolman in the State of Louisiana. Mr. Creel was a U. S. Air Force veteran. He attended Faith Baptist Church in Woodbury, GA.

Mr. Creel was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife Gloria Funderburke Creel of Woodbury, GA, sons Rob Creel of Abilene, TX, Chad Creel of Franklinton, LA and daughter Penny Creel of Pine, LA, brother Emile Creel and Lindsey Creel along with 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

A Visitation with Military Honors will be held at Cox Funeral Home, Manchester from 5:00 - 7:00 pm Friday, March 10, 2023 with Honors given at 5:30PM. Mr. Creel will be taken to Crain Funeral Home in Franklinton, LA for visitation on Sunday, March 12, 2023 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A graveside service will follow the visitation time in the Bulluck-Pittman-Thomas Cemetery at the Bogue Chitto State Park near Franklinton.
