WPSO Says Bogalusa Arrest on Valentine's Day was 2nd Major Drug Arrest in 9 Days

Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force detectives struck again Valentine's Day (February 14, 2023) arresting Romerro “Lil Frank” Morris, age 33 and a Bogalusa resident of 432 Michigan Avenue. WPSO reports that Morris was an active seller of illegal narcotics including heroin, Fentanyl, methamphetamine, Hydrocodone, Oxycodone and Alprazolam. At the time of his arrest, he had more than $1,000 of drug sale proceeds on his person. He also was in possession of a loaded 9 mm semi-automatic pistol.

The arrest of Morris was the result of an investigation that produced evidence resulting in a search warrant issued by the 22nd Judicial District Court for his Michigan Avenue house.

Morris was booked into the Washington Parish Jail charged with eight counts of possession of illegal drugs with intent to distribute, several counts of possession of illegal drugs, being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled dangerous substance with a firearm present, three counts of contempt of court and failure to appear in court. He has several previous drug related arrests in Washington Parish beginning in 2011 and continuing in 2012, 2019 2021 and twice in 2022.

“Two major drug dealers removed from Bogalusa in the past nine days by our detectives,” stated Sheriff Randy Seal. “That is a remarkable achievement and I am so proud of our narcotics officers. Drug dealers, pay attention. We may not catch you tomorrow, or the next day, or next week, but we will eventually catch you. Continue to allow your greed and your callous behavior to rule your life and you will earn a stopover in the Washington Parish Jail on your way to prison.”
