Robert James Thomas
July 16, 1940 - February 1, 2023
Robert James Thomas was born in Bogalusa, Louisiana to the late Will and Christine Thomas. He was the second child of six. Robert was raised in Bogalusa where he attended School.
Robert James was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Bobbie Jean on August 16,1967 and from this union two children were born, Bessie Mae and Catherine Thomas. Robert was baptized at a late age in life, at Stronger Hope Baptist Church. He was a devoted truck driver. Robert was a well-loved person who enjoyed helping others.
Robert leaves to cherish his memories two devoted daughters Bessie and Catherine Thomas; a devoted grandson Adam, Sr. and a granddaughter Courtney; a loving great grandson Adam Jr.; great-granddaughter Aubrey, and host of nieces nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his loving wife and parents, two brothers Willie Ray and Elton, three sisters Adriene, Jonell and Almeda.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023 from 8:00AM - 10:00AM followed by the funeral service for 10:00AM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa with Minister Silas Thomas - Officiating. Interment - Bogalusa Cemetery.
Crain and Sons Funeral Home, Bogalusa are in charge of arrangements.
