Mary Helen Williams

March 25, 1934 - February 18, 2023

Mary Helen Williams of Bogalusa, LA, was born March 25, 1934, to the late John Henry Johnson and the late Daisy Oatis Johnson; she was the 5th of 11 children.

Mrs. Mary was well known in her community as a beautician and an amazing cook. 

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, three children, Nicole (Rev. E. L.) Powell, Loletha and Chad Williams; siblings, Doris Johnson, Ora Keys, Ruby Johnson, Joyce Hartzog; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Daisy Oatis Johnson and John Henry Johnson; her first husband, Jim Alton Smith, and was later in life preceded in death by her second husband, R. S. Williams; her son, Charles Edward Johnson; and siblings, Bernice Hammond, Juanita Johnson, Henry Johnson, Ira Johnson, and Markie Johnson.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023, New Triumph M. B. Church, 801 Sullivan Drive, Bogalusa, LA, from 5:00PM - 7:00PM. 

Funeral Service, Saturday, February 25, 2023, 1:00PM at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 841 E 6th St, Bogalusa, LA. Interment to follow at Ponemah Cemetery, Bogalusa, LA. 

Crain and Sons Funeral Home, Bogalusa are in charge of arrangements.
