Cassandra Ann Magee-Taylor

July 14, 1968 - February 14, 2023

Cassandra Ann Magee-Taylor was born on July 14,1968 to Jessie L. Magee and Gladys M. Alberts in Bogalusa La.

She was affectionately known in her childhood and adult life as “Candy.” Although she did not graduate high school due to personal reasons, she always spoke the value of an education to her children. She partnered with Robin Edwards and made it a priority to obtain her GED from St. Amant Academy.

After moving back into her childhood home, she reunited with a childhood friend Craig Taylor, which would soon lead to marriage.

On June 14, 1998, the Candy and Craig love story began, and to this union, one daughter was born, Javita S. Taylor. If Mom were still here, she would have celebrated 25 years of Marriage in June.

In addition to being an amazing cook, she was a woman of many trades, such as a tax preparer to many people in Franklinton who sought her out due to her wisdom and knowledge. She was firm and assertive, and you always knew where you stood. She had no problem speaking her mind.
