Genevieve "Geneva" DiCarlo Levy

March 5, 1930 - February 22, 2023

Genevieve ‘Geneva’ DiCarlo Levy, a resident of Bogalusa, passed away at home early Wednesday morning surrounded by her large and loving family. She was 92 years old. 

She is preceded in death by her daughter Tanya Levy; husband Ronald J. Levy Sr; grandson Ronald J. Levy III; brothers Joe DiCarlo and Sam DiCarlo; sisters Toni Giacone, Lucille Bocho, and Angel Jones. 

She is survived by her son, Ronnie (Donna) Levy Jr. and daughter Pebble (Don) Davidson; grandchildren Rick (Emily) Levy and great-grandchildren Braxton, Gabriella, and Avery Kay; Anna (Lorenzo) Gonzales and great-grandchildren Zoie and Angie; John Davidson; Kate (John) Byrne and great-grandchildren Genevieve and Stella; Elizabeth (Aaron) Bergeron and an expected great-grandchild Baby Bergeron. 

Family wishes to extend a special thanks to her caregiver Kim Rabaca, her excellent friend Bennie Castagnetta, as well as Compassus Hospice for their attentive care. Geneva cared deeply for her large network of extended family and close friends that became family.

Geneva Levy was one of a kind. She had a warm and welcoming presence with an open door policy. She insisted on feeding anyone who walked through her door, including countless stray animals throughout the years. A gregarious, stubborn, and gracious matriarch, she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to local animal shelters and the Annunciation Catholic Church.

A funeral mass will be held at Annunciation Catholic Church, 517 Avenue B, Bogalusa, LA, March 4, 2023 at noon with a celebration of her life to follow at Dobyns Hall, also located at the church.
