The Bogalusa Police Department reports the arrest today (February 7, 2023) of five juveniles in connection with the December 9, 2022 homicide of Ronnie “King” Taylor.
On the night of December 9, 2022, Bogalusa Police responded to the 800 Block of Warren St. in reference to shots being fired. It was determined that a large group of individuals were gathered for a birthday party, when shots rang out and police were called. Officers located one victim on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and a second victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper leg. A third victim had already been transported to the Emergency Room by a vehicle. Of the three victims, two were wounded and were 14 years old and the third was deceased and 15 years old.
Bogalusa Police previously reported on January 27, 2023 the arrest of one juvenile suspect in connection with the homicide. He was charged with Second Degree Murder, Attempted Second Degree Murder, Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property, Illegal Use of Weapons or Dangerous Instruments, Illegal Possession Handgun by Juvenile-Felony, and Attempted Second Degree Murder.
