Elmer Eloise Creel, Sr.

November 18, 1945 - January 5, 2023

Elmer Eloise Creel, Sr. a native and lifelong resident of Bogalusa, LA passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at the age of 77.  He was the owner/operator of Creel’s Furniture Store in Bogalusa, LA.  He was also the owner/operator of the Mustang Lounge also in Bogalusa, LA.  In his younger days, he was employed in the construction field.

Mr. Elmer is survived by his wife, Linda Creel; three sons, Tim (Jeanette) Simmonds of Rapid City, SD and Elmer Creel, Jr. of Bogalusa, LA, and Matthew (Misty) Simmonds of Bogalusa, LA; three daughters, Lisa Creel of Davison, MI; Kathy (Greg) Mitchell of Flint, MI, and Shelley (Troy) Dieckmann of Charlotte, NC; and one brother, Gerald Creel of Bogalusa, LA.  He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Mr. Elmer was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Era Creel; three brothers, Doyle Creel, Bobby Creel, and Dexter Creel; one grandson, Jacob Krummel; and 1 daughter in law, Deidra Creel.

A celebration of life will be held at The Place, 426 Georgia Avenue, Bogalusa, LA on Thursday, January 12, 2023, from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M.
