Jo Nell Harry

September 27, 1955 - January 24, 2023

Mrs. Jo Nell Harry was born September 27, 1955, to the late Evie and Willie Thomas of Bogalusa, LA. She departed this life on January 24, 2023, at 11:41 pm. in her home surrounded by family.

Jo met and married the love of her life for 30 years, James Ray Harry on December 21, 1992.

She graduated Bogalusa High School in 1974. She received her bachelor’s degree from Southern University.

Jo was a faithful member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her children, Jacque Thomas, and Jasmine Brown; her grandchildren, Tony Harris II, TyJa Brown, and Michaela Thomas; her mother, Evie Field; her sister, Josephine Thomas, Alfreda Weary, and Kay Wasp all of Bogalusa, LA; her brother, Robert J. Hammond of New Orleans; brother-in-law, Willie Harry of Bogalusa, LA; special friends, Kenneth and Chavelia McSwain of Texas, and Cassandra Lewis of Bogalusa, LA; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends

As we look back in time don’t view this as our loss but as Heaven Gain.

JoNell was preceded in death by her husband, James Ray Harry; her father: Willie Thomas; her sister: Almeta Robinson and Dr. Pearl Mitchell; her brothers, Cedrick, Joseph, and Ray Thomas.

A Graveside Funeral Service will be held  at 1:00PM  Saturday, January 28, 2023 in  Ponemah Cemetery Bogalusa LA.

Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa are in charge of the arrangements.
