Bogalusa Police reports the arrest on Friday (January 27, 2023) of a black male juvenile, one of the suspects wanted in connection with the December 9, 2022 triple shooting that resulted in the death of a 15 year-old male and the wounding of two 14 year-old males. The suspect was arrested on the charges of Second Degree Murder, Attempted Second Degree Murder, Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property, Illegal Use of Weapons or Dangerous Instruments, Illegal Possession Handgun by Juvenile-Felony, and Attempted Second Degree Murder
On December 9, 2022 at around 9:40 PM, Officers with the Bogalusa Police Department responded to the 800 Block of Warren St. in reference to shots being fired. It was determined that a large group of individuals were gathered for a birthday party, when shots rang out and police were called. Officers located one subject on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers also located a second victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper leg. Both subjects were turned over to the B.F.D. and E.M.S. personnel upon their arrival. A third victim had been transported to the Emergency Room by a vehicle.
