Obituary

Wayne Bryant

September 21, 1961 - December 4, 2022

Wayne Bryant, age 61, passed away peacefully on the morning of December 4, 2022. To know “Big” Wayne was to know love. He was a big man with an even bigger heart. He was always in a good mood and either playing pranks on people or telling a joke. Anything to get you to laugh or loosen up. Wayne tried not to take life so seriously and he never met a stranger. In fact, he made it his mission to turn strangers into friends, and that’s just what he did. Wayne served as a reserve officer with the Franklinton Police Department for 19 years, serving most recently as Captain. If he had free time, he was most definitely spending it with his “brothers” of the F.P.D.

He is survived by the love of his life Rhonda Bryant. A daughter and son in law Rhayne and Josh Finstad, seven beautiful grandbabies Brantleigh, Audra, Remi, Caiden, Tatum, Cooper, Kendyl and one granddog Roux, Jimmy and Taylor, Brad and Jessica and the rest of his “village family”. His parents James and Barbara Bryant, sisters and brothers in law Kathryn and Buzz Scott, Karen and Bill Shirey, two nieces, three nephews, three great-nieces and one great-nephew. Also a multitude of friends, too many to name, all of whom he loved dearly.

He will be greatly missed by many because many loved him.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Thursday December 8th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and after 9:00 am on Friday. A celebration of life service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am Friday.

Honorary Pallbearers are Steve Thomas, Hunter Thomas, Jared Stubbs, Justin Brown, Scott Minor

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to help with final expenses.
