Kenneth Dale Proffitt

April 2, 1942 - December 2, 2022

Kenneth Dale Proffitt, age 80 and a resident of Mount Hermon, passed away Friday morning December 2, 2022 at Lakeview Regional Medical Center. He was born April 2, 1942 in Harrisburg, Illinois and was a former resident of St. Rose, LA for several years before moving to Washington Parish over 20 years ago. Dale was a talented carpenter that worked for several different companies through the years before becoming self-employed. He even built his current home in Mt. Hermon. Dale enjoyed woodworking, camping, bailing hay and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He enjoyed farming his beef cows and taking care of his horses. Dale used his horses for trail rides all throughout our area and South Louisiana. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Survived by: Wife: Joyce Francis Proffitt of Mt. Hermon; Son: Damon Scott Proffitt of Indianapolis, IN; Daughter: Kimberly Ann Russell of Whitehead, IN; Grandchildren: Searra Paige Flynn, Damon Matthew Proffitt, Pyper Lynn Towe, Conner Patrick Towe, David Edward Workman, Jr.; Sister and Brother in law: Partricia Ann Hunter and Timothy Lee Hunter of Zionsville, IN;  Also survived by numerous brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents Carl Damon Proffitt an Bonnie Rose Proffitt and a brother Carl David Proffitt.

A memorial service for his family and friends will be held in Mt. Hermon in the near future.
