Kenneth Ray Freeman
June 4, 1959 - December 13, 2022
Kenneth Ray Freeman, age 63 and a resident of the Isabel Community, died Tuesday afternoon December 13, 2022 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. He was a former derrick operator in the off-shore industry for several years before retiring. Kenny loved working outside in his yard and also helped keep up the yards of some neighbors and family members. He enjoyed being outside and visiting with his family and friends. Kenny enjoyed listening to his favorite country music and watching the fast cars on the “Street Outlaws” TV show. He was “the Bulldog”, a big strong man that was in charge of every situation. He was always a super husband, dad, brother and friend.
Survived by: Wife of 37 years: Linda Powell Freeman of Isabel; 3 Sons: Danny Ray Freeman, Kevin Wayne Freeman, Bobby Ray Freeman both of Isabel; 4 Grandchildren: Syrenia Twilley, Jordan Kuhn, Danny Freeman, Jr., Mason Freeman; Brother and Sister in law: Joseph and Marie Freeman of Isabel; Sisters and a Brother in law: Dorothy Ann and Delanus Mizell of Baton Rouge, Syrenia Applewhite of Franklinton; Brother in law: Thomas Powell of New Mexico; Also numerus nieces, nephews and other family members
He was preceded in death by his parents Houston Freeman and Verna Mae Manning Freeman, sisters Betty Jean Gordon, Willa Dean Rester, Rita Pittman, father in law and mother in law T.J. and Gloria Mae Powell.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Saturday December 17th from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am Saturday. Burial will follow in the Bonnie Cemetery in Angie.
