Lisa Lee Tarver

June 30, 1967 - November 28, 2022

Lisa Lee Tarver, age 55 and a resident of Franklinton, peacefully passed away early Monday morning November 28, 2022 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born in Pennsylvania on June 30, 1967 and lived in Franklinton for many years. Lisa worked with her friends at the Franklinton Association for Challenged Citizens and also at the Something Special Shop for several years. She loved her pet cats and all animals, including barnyard chickens around her home. Lisa enjoyed watching “Cops” and wrestling on TV and especially her favorite cartoon character “Garfield”. She loved spending time with her family and taking care of the youngest children. If there was a baby around, Lisa was going to hold it in her lap. “Lisa Bug”, as she was lovingly called by those closest to her will be forever missed.

She is survived by a large family that she always said to “You are my Heart”: Siblings and Spouses: Rose Tarver Travis of Fernwood, MS, Roy Tarver, Jr. of Franklinton, Edward and Windy Tarver of Tylertown, Lori Lynn Tarver Travis and Jeffrey Travis, Amber and Shaion Polkey, John Tarver and Mark McNair, Cricket Tarver, Matthew Tarver and Debra Laborde, Heather Tarver all of Franklinton; Beloved Nieces and Nephews: Jasmine Singley, Crystal Travis, Johnny Travis, Jr., Stevie Tarver, Tyler Tarver, David Murphy, Stephanie and Brian Wilson, Ron Tarver, Savannah Tarver, Kalib and Nichelle Travis, Michelle Travis, Alisa Sanders, Allisha Sanders, Melody Polkey, Clay Polkey, Courtney Williams; Beloved Great-nephews and Great-nieces: D.J., Lily, Mina, Autumn, J.J., Alora, Cerina, Astrid, Tyler, Jr., Violet, Hunter, Wyatt, Grayson, Brett, Khaleesia, K.T., Addison, Kinsley, Kassidy, Skylar; Special Friends: Brenda McNabb, Henry Palmer, Angie Bradford, Rusty Owens and their families; Also numerous other family members and friends

She was preceded in death by her parents Roy V. Tarver, Sr. and Roslyn Green Tarver, sister Melody Tarver, brother and sister in law Paul and Candace Tarver, nephew Aaron Polkey and her grandparents.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Thursday December 1st from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 5:00 pm Thursday with Chaplain Chris Thomas officiating.
