Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office Chief Jimmy Travis reports a mother and daughter are deceased after being shot inside their Hammond home early Saturday (November 12, 2022) morning.
Just after 2:30 AM, the TPSO received a 911 call advising someone had been shot at a residence on Stephenson Lane in Hammond. When deputies arrived they discovered two victims, 37 year-old Brandy Smith and her 17 year-old daughter Raven Smith, both with gunshot wounds. Brandy sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene. Raven was transported to North Oaks Medical Center where she also succumbed to her injuries.
