Fluker Man Reported Dead With Gunshot to Chest

Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office Chief Jimmy Travis reported the shooting death of 22 year-old Christopher Sibley, who was gunned down near his home on White Oak Lane in Fluker, Louisiana  around 8:30 PM Wednesday (November 23, 2022) night.

The TPSO received a 911 call in reference to a subject laying in the street with a gunshot wound to the chest. Upon arrival, deputies discovered Sibley to be deceased from his injuries.  Sometime later, TPSO was notified of another subject being dropped off at North Oaks Medical Center with apparent gunshot wounds to the arm. The subject, identified as 22 year-old Jywan Jones, was later taken into custody on Obstruction of Justice charges.

At this time, detectives believe Jones to be a suspect in the shooting; however, they believe another subject or subjects to be at large. As such, the investigation is still ongoing and any further information will be forthcoming.
