Slidell Police Arrest 15 Year-Old With Handgun at School

Shortly before 1pm Friday (October 14, 2022) afternoon, the School Resource Officer (SRO) at Salmen High School in Slidell was notified about a student, who allegedly was carrying a weapon on his person. 

The SRO immediately located the 15-year-old student, and discovered that he did indeed have a hand gun concealed in his waistband. The student was arrested without incident, and charged with illegal carrying of a weapon, illegal carrying of a weapon by student on school property, juvenile in possession of a firearm, and terrorizing.

The juvenile has since been transported to the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center.
