Disturbance 1. Hurricane Ian - No threat to our area

Hurricane Ian remains a threat to areas from Florida northward to include Georgia and the Carolinas. Threats include life-threatening storm surges along the coasts, Hurricane-force winds along the coasts of the Carolinas, and record flooding from Florida through southern Virginia.

Disturbance 2. Eastern Tropical Atlantic – No threat to our area at this time

A tropical wave is over the far eastern tropical Atlantic. Environmental conditions are forecast to be conducive for gradual development of this system, and a tropical depression could form early next week as the system moves westward to west-northwestward over the eastern tropical Atlantic. Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent and formation chance through 5 days...medium...60 percent.
