Mildred Ann Bessonette
November 11, 1936 - September 24, 2022
Mildred Ann Bessonette, age 85 and of Bogalusa, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022. She had endless historical knowledge. Her unlimited quick wit will be missed. Mildred was an overall pleasant person to be around and she will be missed dearly.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Bessonette and her parents, Agatha and Marcus Pounds.
Mildred is survived by her one son, Bernie Bessonette; two brothers, Robert Pounds, of Bogalusa, LA and Michael Pounds of Bush, LA; two sisters, Sharon Crosby of Bogalusa, LA and Marjon Breland Pierce of Mobile, AL; several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend Mildred’s Funeral Service at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Palestine Baptist Church, 59369 Palestine Church Road, Bogalusa, LA. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Hillview Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to Palestine Baptist Church.
