Timothy Turner

April 25, 1961 - September 19, 2022

On September 19, 2022, Mr. Timothy Turner, passed away at his home in Bogalusa, LA. Mr. Turner was a lifelong resident of Bogalusa. He worked with Southland Express and Jerry Creel trucking as a truck driver. He loved his family, but had a special, important place for his kids and grandkids. Mr. Turner loved fishing, hunting, and Nascar, but was a genuine prankster, who enjoyed making someone laugh.

Mr. Turner is survived by his loving, devoted wife: Caletta Miley Turner; six children: Tonya Turner, James Turner (Meagan), Kyla K. Miley (Nick), Johnathon Turner (Evan), and Caitlyn Turner (Rusty); eight grandsons: Mason Turner, Brian Thomas, Jayden Thomas, Jordan Jones, Brayden Holden, Kenneth Miley III, Cooper Turner, and Jensen Turner; three sisters: Judy Faye Sherman, Catherine Peters, and Karen Talley (Derwin); a brother: James “Jimmy” Turner; and a host of other friends and family.

He was preceded in death by one son: Timothy Cannon Turner; his parents: Sgt. James Cannon “J.C.” Turner and Nezzie Martin Turner; a special uncle: D.L. Martin; two brother-in-laws: Butch Sherman and Anthony Peters; a sister-in-law: Gloria Singley Turner; his grandparents; and by his first wife and the mother of his oldest 2 children: Teresa Ann Turner Young.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on September 21, 2022 at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home in Bogalusa, Louisiana. A Graveside Service will follow at 3:30 PM at Ponemah Cemetery.
