Jeanette Magee

August 12, 1948 - September 10, 2022

Celebrating the life of Jeanette “Sweet Lady” Magee who passed away on September 10, 2022.  

Jeanette joined Hayes Creek Missionary Baptist Church where she gave her life to Christ at an early age.  Her grandfather was a deacon of the church, and her father was one of the lead singers in the male chorus. Coming from a strong Christian family she knew she could not do anything without God. Christ was all she knew and needed to make it in this world.

Jeanette Causey Magee now joins in heavenly her husband Murdock Magee along with her parents Willie J. and Rubie Dean Causey.

She leaves to mourn her children, Madeline Causey of Tacoma, Washington, Stephanie Magee of Atlanta, Georgia, and Yolanda (Quentin) Brumfield of Franklinton, Louisiana; grandchildren, Timothy Causey of Tacoma, Washington, TaMorris Causey of Tacoma, Washington, TaMiyah Causey of Tacoma, Washington, Ahrialle Brumfield of Franklinton, Louisiana, Quade Brumfield of Franklinton, Louisiana, NaShon McGary of Ponchatoula, Louisiana; a special nephew/ grandson, Tra’Dell Causey of Franklinton, Louisiana, and grand Godson, Ayden Brumfield of Abita Springs, Louisiana; her great-grandchildren, Kylan and Jaida Causey of Tacoma, Washington, and Tate Romece Causey; siblings, Gary (Helen) Causey of Franklinton, Louisiana, Dr. Vernon Causey, of Franklinton, Louisiana, Gwendolyn Hart of Shreveport, Louisiana, Kennith (Donna) Causey of Franklinton, Louisiana, Deborah Robinson of Seattle, Washington, and Odell Causey of Franklinton, Louisiana. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She will be truly missed by all she came in contact with.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 9:00AM – 11:00AM at Greater Hayes Creek Missionary Baptist Church followed by the funeral service at 11:00AM with Rev. Jerome Warren – Pastor Officiating. Interment – Greater Hayes Cemetery.
