Ella Mae Magee Warren

September 8, 1949 - September 26, 2022

Ella Mae Magee Warren was born to the late Rodney and Vonita Magee on September 8, 1949, the youngest of 9 girls. She departed this life on September 26, 2022 at her home.

Ella enjoyed spending time with her family, mostly her grandchildren, traveling and going to church.

Ella was baptized at an early age and was a dedicated member of New Jerusalem MBC until the end. She attended Star Creek School and worked at Forest Manor Nursing Home in Covington, LA.

Ella met and married Buffus Ray Warren in April 10, 1965 and to that union 5 children were born.

She leaves to cherish her memories her beloved and dedicated husband of 57 years, Buffus Ray Warren of Franklinton, LA; three daughters, Hollis (Sedrick) Kagler, Veronica (Steven) Walker Sr. both of Franklinton, LA and Rayann (Eric) Magee of Pinevill, LA; one son, Christopher (Tamikka) Warren of Franklinton, LA; four sisters, Louise Cowart, Mattie Miller of Los Angeles, CA, Charlene Brock of Baton Rouge, LA, and Vernell (Jimmy) Kagler of New Orleans, LA; fifteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a very special friend, Anita; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rodney and Vonita Magee; one son, Rodney Warren; one grandson, Lorenzo Kagler; four sisters, Mary James, Jessie Lee Craft, Carrie Dean Cowart, Dottie B. Jones; four brothers-in-law, Charlie James, Eugene Brock, Hubert E. Cowart, and Billy Cowart.

Drive through viewing Friday, September 30, 2022 from 4:00PM – 6:00PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home- Franklinton

Funeral Service Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 11:00AM at New Jerusalem Baptist Church. Interment –Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
