Clifton Cardell Gatlin

July 22, 1989 - September 1, 2022

Clifton Cardell was born on July 22, 1989 in Highland Park Hospital in Covington, LA to the late Sabrina Johnson Gatlin and Clifton Gatlin. He attended school at Folsom Elementary, Folsom Jr. High, and Covington High School, he also attended Carville Academy.

Clifton attended church at a young age under the leadership of Supt. Felton Brumfield at Faith Hope and Charity Church of God in Christ. He worked various jobs such as Walmart Distribution Center, Popeyes, and other jobs.

Clifton leaves to cherish his precious memories his father, Clifton Gatlin of Brookhaven, MS; a step mother, Amanda Gatlin of Brookhaven, MS; two brothers, Demontreal Gatlin, Darioun Gatlin both of Folsom, LA; step sister, Sha’Keena Gatlin of Bookhaven, MS; three step brothers, Clifton Gatlin, Jr., Ke’sion Gatlin, and Criston Gatlin all of Brookhaven, MS ; two grandfathers, Elder Antoine F. Brumfield of Folsom, LA, and Charles Johnson of Kentwood, LA; uncles and aunts, Jermaine (Rachael) Brumfield of Covington, LA, Jamoul (Bethany) Brumfield of Bush, LA; Rochelle (Robert) Stevens of Hammond, LA, Cardell Perry, Donell Perry both of Independence, LA, Linzy (Patrice) Lenoir of  Washington, DC; special cousin, Antoine J. Brumfield, Jr; a host of cousins, uncles, aunts, friend, and loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Sabrina Johnson Gatlin; grandmothers, Missionary Carolyn A. Brumfield, and Dixie Lenoir; grandfather, Mozell Gatlin.

Funeral service Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 1:00PMM at Faith Hope and Charity Church of God in Christ with Elder Antoine F. Brumfield, Pastor and Elder Larry Bickham, Eulogist. Interment – Robertson Family Cemetery.
