Glenda Faye Sartin Speights

October 14, 1955 - August 25, 2022

On October 14, 1955, God blessed Attie Davis Sartin and Orastine Lampton Sartin with a beautiful daughter who they named Glenda Faye Sartin.  On August 25, 2022, God called Glenda from labor to eternal rest.

Glenda was member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church under the current leadership of Pastor Douglas Hart. She was a graduate of Bogalusa High School class of 1973 and attended Sullivan Vo-Tech in the field of Nursing but due to illness was unable to complete the course.

She leaves to cherish her memories her son, John D. (Stacy) Foster, Jr.; three brothers, David Sartin, Vernell Sartin and Willie (Marshall) Sartin all of Bogalusa, LA; her precious grandchildren who she loved very much, De’Shontarie Foster, Johntoria Dillon, Kendria Hill, Kelliyah Foster, Kalik Foster all of Bogalusa, John Da’Richard Foster, and John’Nellious Foster both of Houston, TX; one great grand little, Ms. Brielle Hill; two sister-in-laws;  five aunts; four uncles and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband the late Gregory Speights; her mother, Orastine Lampton Sartin and her father, Attie Sartin; four brothers, Larry Dion Sartin, Duane Eric Sartin, Rev. Edward F. Sartin, Sr. and Lovell Sartin; grandmothers, Jesse Mae Lampton and Ordine Sibley Sartin Wells; grandfathers, Jacob Sartin, Sr., Hozie Wells, Carley Lampton, Sr.; five aunts, seven uncles, and her precious grandson, JaJuan Brister.

Drive through viewing will be Friday, September 2, at Crain and Sons Funeral Home from 4pm – 6pm.

Funeral service will be Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 12pm at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with the Rev. E. L. Powell, Jr. officiating. Interment will be at the Bogalusa Cemetery.

Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa is in charge of arrangements.
