James Loyd Bankston

October 13, 1942 - July 6, 2022

James Loyd Bankston, age 79 and a resident of Franklinton, died Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Riverside Medical Center in Franklinton. He was retired from Rayburn Corrections after 25 years of service. He was a U S Army Veteran. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He always had a garden that he enjoyed working.

Survived by: Nephew and spouse who were his caregiver: Lane and Kathleen Hartzog of Franklinton; Other nieces and nephews and many friends

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann Stafford Bankston, his parents Dudley and Beatrice Bankston and 2 sisters Carolyn McDaniel and Sue McKenzie.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Saturday, July 9th from 9 am until 11 am. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11 am Saturday with Rev. Landon Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in the Stoney Point Church Cemetery.
