Brenda Pigott Nyokong

September 2, 1948 - June 30, 2022

Brenda Pigott Nyokong entered this life on September 2, 1948 and departed on June 30, 2022.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mrs. Emma Lee and Mr. Curtis Hines; a beloved nephew, Niyi Lindsey.

Brenda graduated from Washington Parish School and attended Dillard University in New Orleans. Later in life she attended Sydney Collier Technical College where she graduated as an LPN. She worked as a Nurse for several years until she became disabled.

She leaves to mourn her memories three children, Lesley (Aaron) Christopher, TaKashima Robinson, and Karomie Pigott; two aunts, Winifred Dyson and Betty Hines; one sister, Linda Hines Lindsey; one beloved niece, Ife Lindsey (Wardell) Royal; 8 grandchildren, Aaronesia, Jumaine, Shomari, Christophe, William, She’Parc Roby, Shekima, Macaiah Robinson, Karomie, and Kamari Pigott; 1 great niece; 4 great nephews; two great grandchildren, Trevion and Hoe Christophe; beloved cousin and best friend, Jeanette Hines; a host of cousins, family, and friends.

Viewing will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 12:30PM – 2:00PM at followed by the funeral service at 2:00PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Shelly Planellas – Officiating. Interment – Union Chapel Cemetery. 

Crain and Sons Funeral Home – Franklinton are in charge of arrangements.
