Obituary

Debra Gay Boudreaux

September 10, 1956 - July 5, 2022

In the late night of July 4th, 2022 Debra Gay Boudreaux received her call to her eternal home in heaven. As we mourn the loss of such a wonderful, godly woman, we find comfort in knowing that she is with her lord and savior Jesus Christ, taking in the everlasting happiness she so deeply longed for.

Debra was a very outgoing person, anyone that knew her knew she was always on the go. She had a passion for animals, dogs in particular. She worked with countless rescue foundations to find homes for dogs in need. She opened her home to many of these dogs to foster them until they found their forever home. For the last 20 years she cleaned houses, worked dinner parties, and helped people maintain their homes. She enjoyed what she did and always took extreme pride in her work. She also made countless friends along the way. She loved reading her bible, mowing her grass and spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas time, where she would decorate her home and yard with lights and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. She was very active in church all of her life, with her home church being Trinity Baptist Church in Franklinton, La. For many years she was a part of many different events in church mainly teaching kids and pre-teens about Jesus. Debra was the kindest hearted woman you could meet. The love she had for her family and friends will stay with us for all the years to come. Her love and faithfulness to God had no end. We now rejoice and sing praise to God for Debra and the impact she has left on all of us. And we thank him for putting Debra in our lives, although she is no longer with us on this earth, the impact she left on those she loved will live on forever. As Debra would say “To God be the Glory”
