Eria Jean Brooks Parker
July 8, 1955 - July 15, 2022
Eria Jean Brooks Parker, age 67 and a resident of Franklinton, passed away early Friday morning July 15, 2022 at her home following a lengthy illness. She was a native of the Spring Creek Community and graduated from Spring Creek High School. Jean worked as a bookkeeper most of her life and was a longtime employee of Sunflower Grocery Store in Kentwood. She always enjoyed looking at her beautiful flowers and loved listening to her favorite music.
Survived by: Husband: Gary Parker of Franklinton; Sisters and Brothers in law: Peggy and Dennis Day of Prairieville, Patsy and Mike Whitehead of Kentwood; Sisters in law and Brothers in law: Dot and James Taylor of Isabel, Charlene and Ronnie Alexis of Flagstaff, AZ, Kendall and Brenda Parker of Franklinton,
Connie Parker of Enon; Also numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father Margarite Crawford Brooks Fontenot and Rogers Fontenot, father George Brooks, Jr., grandparents Willie and Geneva Crawford, Albert and Betty Brooks.
Following a private family service, Jean will be laid to rest in the Bolivar Baptist Church Cemetery.
