Estus "Gabriel" Luper, III

October 28, 1973 - July 10, 2022

Estus "Gabriel" Luper, III, age 48 and a longtime resident of Ellisville, MS passed away Sunday evening July 10, 2022. He was a native of Franklinton where he graduated from Franklinton High School. Gabe worked as a pipe-liner and also as a truck driver, with the CB handle “Outlaw” that he continued with that nickname ever since. He worked most recently as a welder for Howard Industries in Laurel, MS for many years. Gabe was great at fixing things and working with his hands. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and doing leather works, like bull whips and other items. Gabe had a great sense of humor as he always loved to tell jokes and make others laugh.

Survived by: Wife of 19 years: Jerri Lynn Luper of Ellisville; Children and Spouses: Brent Husband, Brannon and Ellie Luper, Steven and Davanna Luper, Mallory and Dylan Blackburn, Hannah Luper; 6 Grandchildren: Ava Luper, Abby Luper, Hayes Luper, Lilah Luper, Blair Blackburn, Brantley Husband; Parents: Estus Luper, Jr. and Earnestine Rogers Luper of Franklinton; Sister: Christi Luper and Benjamin Moak; Brother: Lucas Luper and Shelly McCain; Nieces: Rhianna Barrios, Savannah Barrios; Mother in law: Patricia Bush; Also survived by numerous other family members and friends

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Estus and Ludy Luper, grandmother Mary Alice Rogers Overstreet, grandfather Modez Rogers, aunt Essie Luper, uncle Marion Dunn.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home (1109 Bene Street, Franklinton, LA) on Thursday July 14th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Thursday with Eld. Larry Terrell and Eld. Adam Luper officiating. Burial will follow in the Poplarhead Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
