Doralee Naquin Authement

February 12, 1942 - June 4, 2022

Doralee Naquin Authement, age 80 and a resident of Franklinton passed away early Saturday morning June 4, 2022 at Lakeview Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Terrebonne Parish and had been a resident of the Thomas Community and Washington Parish on two occasions, most recently for the last 10 years. Doralee worked for several years at the Thomas Grocery and was even the owner/operator for some time. She loved planting a big vegetable garden each year along with a big stand of watermelons. Doralee and others was instrumental in the establishment of the Watermelon Festival when it began in Franklinton over 30 years ago. She enjoyed playing video poker and dancing to her favorite music. Doralee lived life to the fullest and always enjoyed visiting with her family and friends.

Survived by: Son and Daughter in law: Neil “Butch” Ledet, Jr. and Pam Ledet; Daughter in law: T.C. Ledet; Grandchildren and Spouses and Great-grandchildren: Brandon and his daughter Makenna, Michelle and Brandi, Heidi and Chris and their children Kaden and Harper, Ashley and her children Kaitlyn, Jasmine, Estella and Jeremy, Blake; Sisters: Julia N. Adams, Olivia Marie Hunt; Companion: Michael Vanover; Special Friend: Don Vanover; Also numerous nieces, nephews and other family members

She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Authement, Sr., son Victor J. Ledet, daughter and son in law Kimberly Ann Jenkins and Terry Jenkins, parents Victor Naquin and Felicia Dupre Naquin, brother and sister in law Willard and Veronica Naquin, brothers in law Alcide Adams and Charles Hunt.

A private memorial service will be held in the near future.
