Anthony "Tony" Collett

August 9, 1951 - June 17, 2022

Anthony Samuel Collett, age 70 and of Bogalusa, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 17, 2022 at St Tammany Parish Hospital. Tony as most knew him, was born in Bogalusa, Louisiana on August 09, 1951 to Samuel and Laura Collett. Tony attended Bogalusa High School, where he excelled as a student athlete, lettering in Baseball. After High School he went on to Southeastern Louisiana University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Finance.

Tony worked as a loyal Funeral Home Director at Brown McGehee Funeral Home, selflessly serving the community of Bogalusa for over forty-years. He was an avid gun enthusiast and proud NRA member. He was also a member of the Louisiana Funeral Directors Association .

Tony is survived by his children Leslie Collett Herrington (Doug) of Bogalusa, LA, Jonathan Colby Collett (Brittan) of Tampa, FL, brother Sam Collett (Tonda) of Covington, LA and sister Fran Williams (Rick) of Atlanta, GA. Grandchildren: Sienna, Weston, Colbie, Mckenna, Landon, Ellen, and Kim; He is also survived by his beloved cat Junior. 

Tony is predeceased in death by Samuel Collett (Father) and Laura Mannino Collett Hebert (Mother). 

A Memorial service was held earlier in the week at Brown McGehee Funeral Home for family.
