Sidney Dykes Fuller

September 9, 1936 - May 5, 2022

Sidney Dykes Fuller, a resident of Kentwood, LA, was called to be with the Lord and savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, May 5, 2022. She was born September 9, 1936 and was 85 years of age. She retired from Tangipahoa Parish Council with 25+ years of service. She was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church, Kentwood, LA as well as a past member of East Fork Baptist Church, Kentwood, LA.

She is survived by her husband Udo Fuller; son Wayne H. Newman, Jr. and wife Sheena of Kentwood, LA; grandsons Gabriel B. Newman, Wesley T. Gafford and fiancé Raven of Kentwood, LA; Bradley A. Gafford and wife Kristin of Amite, LA; granddaughter Ashley G. Howe and husband Steven of Statesboro, GA; 7 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Helen Dykes; nieces Shelia Esch and husband Carroll; Tracy LeBlanc and husband George; nephew Ernest Scott Dykes and wife Sandra of Kentwood, LA

Preceded in death by son Ken E. Newman; parents Rodric Rudolph Dykes, Sr. and Velma Simmons Dykes; husband Wayne H. Newman, Sr.; sister Blanche D. Lea and husband Robert; brother Rodric Rudolph Dykes, Jr.; nephews Robert “Nick” Lea, Jr. and Homer Rodric “Rod” Lea; niece Sue Lea Hendrickson.

Memorial service will be held at Spring Creek Baptist Church, Kentwood, LA at 7:00pm on Thursday, May 12, 2022 conducted by Dr. Danny R. Smith.
