Kendall Wayne "Piney" Stogner
July 31, 1958 - April 18, 2022
Kendall Wayne "Piney" Stogner, age 63 and a resident of Franklinton died Monday April 18, 2022 at Our Lady of the Lake Surgical Hospital in Slidell. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church and a graduate of Pine High School, Class of 1976. Kendall was a member of the bridge crew for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development for 30 years, before retiring and then worked for McKenzie Wrecker Service for the last 13 years. He enjoyed riding around visiting with family and friends, always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. Kendall also enjoyed riding his Honda motorcycle, running his beagles and spoiling his grandchildren. He liked watching old Western TV shows and movies. Kendall was always ready with a joke or fun story, mostly about grandchildren, or times spent cutting up with his friends were other fond memories. He also loved spending time with his brother Richard reminiscing of their childhood adventures.
Survived by: Wife of 32 years: Lora Passman Stogner; Daughter and Son in law: Deanne and Brandon Minarik; Son and Daughter in law: Blake and Sara Stogner; Grandson: Wyatt Minarik; Granddaughter: Madeline Minarik; Brother and Sister in law: Richard and Belinda Stogner; Sister in law and Brother in law: Annie Rose and Frank Bickham, Jr.; Brother in law and Sister in law: Russell and Carol Passman; Nieces and Nephews: Adrian and Brian O’Bryant, Lisa Bickham, Monica Bickham, Rusty Passman; Great-nieces and great-nephews: Anna Bickham, April King, Braisyn O’Bryant, Logan O’Bryant, Reagan O’Bryant, Indie Bickham, Asa Bickham
He was preceded in death by his parents Leslie “Junior” Stogner and Lucy Jane Cooper Stogner, father in law and mother in law Wilton Huey and Annie Lou Passman.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Wednesday April 20th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and after 9:00 am on Thursday. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am Thursday with Rev. Kyle Thigpen and Eld. Burdette Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Acy’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
