Gregory Arnold Speights

September 11, 1957 - April 1, 2022

Gregory Arnold Speights, a resident of Varnado, La, died on April 1, 2022, at his home. He was 64 years old.

Greg accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Varnado, under the leadership of the late Dr. A.S. Nelson.

He was a proud member at Varnado High School Class of 1975. After graduation, Greg joined the United States Army.

Later Gregory was joined in holy matrimony with Glenda Faye Sartin on October 13, 2001.

Gregory’s life will always and forever be cherished in the lives of his family and friends, his wife, Glenda Faye Sartin Speights; son, John D. Foster, Jr.; grandchildren, De’Shontaire Foster, Kelliyah Foster, Kalik Foster, Johntoria Dillion, John Foster, and Johnnelius Foster; three aunts, Glayds Denham of Hammond, La, Olivia Mondy and Louise (Ellis) Burrell both of Angie, La; special cousins, Victor L Peters, Cassandra Peters Lewis, Sylvia (Mike) Garrett, Tina (Von) Speights Mansfield, Joe Edward (Jeanette) Lewis, Jr., Aaron (Tracey) Lewis, Erica (Willis) Yarbrough, Quenzell (Amy) Speights and Brandon Speights; cousins, Warren (Eva) Peters, Jackie Sims, Brendolyn Peters, Patricia Peters, Mary Peters Wilson, Inez Peters and Undrea Jones; a special friend, Raymond Henry, and a great neighbor, Ron Nichols.

Gregory is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Edith Speights; his brother Jason Speights; and his grandparents, Connie and Geneva Speights.

Drive-thru visitation will be held at Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Bogalusa on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.

The funeral service will be held at Crain & Sons Funeral Home, on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Dr. Linzie R. Cotton, Pastor - Officiating.
